Teacher Cards

Teacher Borrowing Cards are a great resource for Atlantic City teachers. They allow teachers to check out up to 20 items of the library for up to 6 weeks. It also allows you to bypass the “no more than 2 items per author/topic” rule. These materials are intended for classroom use only and cannot be renewed. Items must be print materials from the Youth Services section of the library. That said, if there is a particular item you need from the adult section or a YA DVD that you need for the classroom, please contact me and I will try to work it out for you.

To be eligible for a teacher card, you must already possess a personal ACFPL card. Individuals living in Atlantic County, Ocean City or Avalon are eligible for a free card by providing the required identification.

If you live outside Atlantic County, Ocean City, or Avalon, you may become a member of the Library by paying an annual subscriber fee of $30.00.

To obtain your teacher borrowing card, bring your personal library card up to the youth services desk on the second floor of the main library building at 1 N. Tennessee Avenue. You can also fill out a form at our Richmond Avenue branch, which they will send to the main library to get its barcode.

If you have ANY problems or questions about this process, please call me or e-mail me. I love working with teachers, and I’m happy to support you in any way that I can.
